Highgate

The brief for this large London back garden was to add more colour and life to the borders. To achieve this, we swung the beds further out into the lawn area, as the plants were formerly all competing with mature trees that surround the garden. There were some great large shrubs which already gave the borders a fantastic backdrop and we added to these with perennials, smaller shrubs and bulbs to create a flow of planting which flowers from January to December.

Majestic Foxgloves flowering throughout the borders create a rhythm which harmonises all areas in the garden.

Snowdrops planted en masse are a welcome and joyful sight at the beginning of the year before the trees come into leaf.

Planting bulbs in the lawn adds to the naturalistic feel to the garden and are such playful accents of colour and texture in Spring.

Bee friendly plants are always at the front of our minds when creating planting plans for a garden. These pollinators are essential for the survival of our planet, and the success of the crops in the neighbouring veg patch.

Window boxes, planters and pots create wonderful pockets of year-round interest throughout all areas of the garden.

A succession of carefully designed planters and pots supply changing vistas for all seasons.

Intriguing plant combinations in pots add magical layers to the garden to delight the eye.

Early flowering bulbs are a welcome source of food for pollinators and a glorious splash of colour wherever they appear.

Plants with different heights, colours, scents and textures can be moved to the perfect spot in the garden as they come into flower.

Testimonial

Naomi and Laura and their team have truly created paradise in our garden. They have encyclopaedic knowledge of plants and vegetables and instinctively knows what will work in different spaces. The birds and bees seem to love what they have created as well!
