We enlarged and softened the borders to create a lush environment, full of flowers that would attract birds and bees.

Shady area

By replanting with woodland perennials and bulbs that thrive in under the canopy of the tree, these shady areas were enlivened with colour and glorious textures for year round interest.

Year 2

Perennials have really settled into the borders and are intermingling with style! As summer moves into autumn, the garden is still full of lively blooms and the garden is buzzing with pollinators.

Before

Planting had dwindled over the years, with only summer interest and struggling shady areas with minimal planting.

After

We expanded and shaped the borders to give more room for plants whilst still leaving plenty of lawn in the garden to enjoy. These widened borders allowed us to plant perennials to create flowing waves of colours and textures and to plant bulbs for lively accents of colour at different times of the year. The garden now offers a succession of wonderful plants to enjoy year round.
